Bistro Mashriq: An Inspired Addition to Warren Street

Bistro Mashriq: An Inspired Addition to Warren Street

Sadly Bistro Mashriq has closed due to the staffing shortage in the pandemic. Please check out Christopher Knable’s other restaurants in Chatham, NY.

There is yet another reason to visit and eat in Hudson, NY this winter, Bistro Mashriq. Boasting reimagined Arabian fare, filled with the most wonderful flavors and textures that might just cure your 2020 wanderlust. Owned by Christoper Knable of Main Street Goodness, Pieconic. Bistro Mashriq is a nod to his years spent living and working in the Middle East.

Located at 136 Warren Street in a beautiful historic second empire style building, the sun filled space is tastefully decorated with clean and inspired décor. Currently they offer take out only, with seamless online ordering and hours from 12pm -8pm.

The menu is delectable, I’m still dreaming of the lamb meatballs with the melt in your mouth texture. Such care and detail is taken in the presentation which can be challenging in “to-go” fashion. The team at Bistro Mashriq are seasoned hospitality veterans, Jereme Keough and Marcy Groll. Executive Chef Jereme Keough has diverse experience locally in Columbia County as the operator/owner/chef of his own catering company and throughout the region, working in roles as the Executive Chef at the Governor’s Mansion and Mazzone catering. General Manager, Marcy Groll has years of restaurant experience in the Hudson Valley, including the Vanderbilt in Philmont and La Perche in Hudson and currently manages seasonally  The Columbia Grill in Claverack.

You’ll find the flavors authentic, but with a welcome twist like the Arabian Chicken Wings with sumac, lemon, garlic and feta yogurt- this will forever change football Sundays.

Our favorites so far:

Kebbeh- lamb croquettes, crisp, warm and perfectly seasoned

Lamb Meatballs- melt in your mouth, so flavorful and the ideal texture

Mutabal Shawandar- a flavor as amazing as the vivid magenta color, (naturally of course - from beets)

Bistro Mashriq is open Thursday - Sunday from 12pm-8pm. Street parking, online ordering or order by phone, take out only.

Do yourself a flavor and check out Bistro Mashriq at 136 Warren St. Hudson. Tell them your friends at Upstate Social sent you!
