Gluten Free Restaurant Round Up
Gluten isn’t everyone’s favorite—for many reasons. If you or someone in your world lives a gluten free/gluten friendly lifestyle, it can be challenging to find dining options that accommodate. Naturally gluten free choices may be available (like greens) but mixed in with gluten toppings. I have been living gluten free since early 2021 to alleviate chronic symptoms. I am constantly researching restaurant menus for social outings. Comment with gf finds in the region! As always, inform your server of any allergen restrictions and ask questions to confirm!

Rensselaer County:
Nic’s Trattoria: East Greenbush- “Low Gluten” Wood Fired Pizzas, GF pasta, GF cocktails

Franklin Alley Social Club: Troy- FUN and GF options?! From potatoes to pizza and burgers, you can enjoy your favorites! And all of the cocktails can be made NA as mocktails! Play games, have fun and they are available for parties!
Liza’s: Troy- Health Food, Woman Owned with DELICOUS GF Options! My favorite is the Big Betty Breakfast Sandwich! Easy take out through Mealeo and open for weekend brunch!
DeFazio’s Pizza: Troy/Albany GF Dough option for 10-12” pizzas, Troy location offer GF Penne pasta as a substitution
Maria’s: Troy GF & DF options including bowls, smoothies, toasts, sandwiches (on GF bread)
Dutch Udder: Troy Ice Cream with GF & DF options- flavors change often! Check out their social media for what they are scooping :)

Chatham Brewing: Chatham- GF labels on the menu, Build your own burger/bbq -Locally sourced, dine in or order online for pickup during tap room hours
Our Daily Bread & The Gluten Free Bakery: Chatham- GF packaged bread, bagels, cookies & granola- order online. Dine in or order online take out from Our Daily Bread Café with options for GF & DF substitutes on most menu items including the Burrata Panini, Turkey Bacon Ranch Wrap, Buffalo Quesadilla and more!”
Main St Goodness: Chatham: GF PANCAKES & GF French Toast available -an actual dream! Breakfast & Lunch served all day
Blue Plate: Chatham: GF options, labeled menu for vegan, gf, vegetarian. Visit on Music Mondays for Live music!
Baba Louie’s: Hudson: GF Pizza, labeled menu for vegan & gf. GF menu section available online for take out or dine in on Warren St!
Hudson Food Studio: Hudson: Locally Sourced, Asian Accent: GF Options, Online ordering for take out or dine in - clearly indicates what cannot be made gf!
Albany County:
Josie’s Table: Stuyvesant Plaza- GF labels on the menus with the most fun treat- the Truffle Parmesan Fries
110 Grill: Latham & Albany- celiac friendly, dedicated fryers, allergy friendly menu, SO many fun options for GF!
Umana Yana: Albany - The Meeting Place, Afro & Asian Caribbean Inspired, GF labeled menu- the Cassava Puffs still have me dreaming! Dine in or order online for pick up

Nine Pin Cider: Albany- All of their ciders are naturally GF and made with 100% NY Apples & Fruit! In the tasting room, the food menu is labeled GF and has dedicated space, utensils and oven to avoid cross contamination (note it is still a shared kitchen). Options are plentiful and include GF Cheese or Pepperoni pizza- but my favorite - if you can snag one before they sell out - O’Malley’s Oven Hand Pies!
O’Toole’s Restaurant: Albany -ALL of your GF favorites are on a dedicated GF menu, prepared in a dedicated workspace, fryer/toaster (note: not 100% GF restaurant)- even Fish & Chips!
What’s Poppin: Albany- Gourmet Popcorn, popped fresh on site! GF flavors include: Cheddar, Cheddar Hot, Caramel, Moo-Vee and Kettle. Be sure to ask about other flavor options too!
Toro Cantina: Albany- Another fabulous restaurant by Chef Jamie Ortiz- Toro offers a twist on traditional Mexican cuisine- the atmosphere is fun and whimsical! With an entirely GF menu there are plenty of options and enjoy Agua Fresca for a simple yet delicious non-alcoholic beverage!
Innovo Kitchen: Latham- Sandwiches, pastas, burger buns can be swapped for gluten free options- be sure to inform your server of any allergies. Featured mocktails are rotated often and are very popular!

Warren County:
Adirondack Sticks & Stones: Schroon Lake- GF modifications noted on the menu, most entrees, greens and pizza can be GF!
Loda: Bolton Landing- GF options but not all are labeled on the menu, just ask your server to confirm. Options included (at time of publishing): Buffalo Cauliflower (crusted in GF cornflakes), Ahi Tuna Steak, Grilled Broccolini, Burrata (without the ciabatta), Charred Asparagus, Salmon, Steak & Frites, French Fries to name a few!
Saratoga County:
Iron Roost: Ballston Spa: A personal favorite since they opened in 2012 now offering GF Menu for waffles, salads and bakery treats! Sweet or savory? (GET BOTH!)
Saratoga Gluten Free Goods: Schuylerville: Dedicated Gluten Free Bakery offering rolls, breads, sweets and savory options!
Cantina: Saratoga Springs: GF labeled menu with options including tacos, enchiladas, fried ice cream and more!
PJ’s Bar-B-QSA: Saratoga Springs: Entire GF Menu for take out or dine in- including curly fries! Sharing? Go for the 5 Region Tour and don’t forget the GF BBQ Sauces!
Schenectady County:

Daley’s on Yates: Schenectady- GF labeled menu with nearly all of the menu offerings GF!
Simone’s Kitchen: Schenectady- Mediterranean with mezze options! Most items are naturally GF but as always ASK and when ordering online enter GF in the comments! For dessert the Date Bites- almond butter stuffed medjool date with dark chocolate and pistachios- YUM!
